Moses ah Chong is the worthy recipient of the very first Hillary Award presented at the SEHC’s end of year awards ceremony. Moses is the second eldest in a family of eight children.

At home he has embraced what naturally fell upon him which help instil a profound sense of leadership that has guided him ever since. As he says “In the tapestry of my upbringing, there's a fundamental belief that echoes in my heart: e amata uma mea i le fale, meaning everything starts at home. Nurtured by his embrace of Christ-like values by his Pacific parents, his sense of duty and responsibility have influenced his leadership style which he has also brough to SEHC.

This award has been donated to Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate in Otara. Sir Edmund Hillary personified the essential human qualities of Integrity , Modesty, Determination and Service to Others. This award which is donated by the Hillary House Leadership Centre Trust is for a student who has exemplified these qualities through this year.
